Core Values

The Foundational Characteristics We Stand Upon…

01

GROWTH

Being whole and complete with one’s commitments, on time.

DEA is committed to the business growth of the member organizations through referral marketing, and by promoting them to friends, family, and colleagues.

04

DISTINCTION

Being determined and executing our responsibilities with care and perseverance.

Not all people are right for DEA. DEA is very selective about its members. We invite only people who meet our criteria. We consider the length of time they have been in the business, in the community, and how many clients they have. The best members are ones who value commitment, openness, and the quality of their relationships.

02

EDUCATION

Being ready to give more of ourselves than is expected.

DEA provides an opportunity to learn from and with one another. Rather than presenters talking to the audience, it is extremely valuable to learn together, to experience how other members ask and answer questions. This builds trust in addition to the skills and ideas gleaned from the presentations. DEA often brings outside subject matter experts to enhance the knowledge of its members.

05

EXCELLENCE

Being masterful and possessing the expertise necessary to deliver high performance.

Member organizations have great expertise and are best at what they do.

03

RELATIONSHIPS

DEA encourages members to grow their relationships between meetings via one-to-one meetings outside of DEA meetings.

The quality of the relationships of the members of DEA has a direct relationship on the value members get from the group. People relate better when they get comfortable with one another. This comes from fun experiences, from personal interactions, and from building trust, camaraderie and confidence. Great friendships are an effective way to promote business.

06

STRUCTURE

Being dignified & courteous in all interpersonal interactions.

Consistent organization structure and weekly meetings contribute to the success of DEA. People will be keen to participate if they know there is an agenda, and if the meetings start and end on time. They also want to know there is an intent to hone and improve the way members appear, and to balance learning, fun, and building DEA.
